Our Story
It’s Giving Nourishment began with a single, deeply personal mission. When my mother was diagnosed with cancer, living nearly 4,000 miles away in the Lower 48, I felt a compelling need to support her health from here in Alaska. I wanted her to have access to wholesome, nourishing food completely free of artificial additives, preservatives, and unnecessary fillers.
What started as a personal mission to dehydrate clean, comforting foods for my mom evolved over a couple of years into It’s Giving Nourishment. Seeking to preserve the maximum nutrients, vibrant flavors, and true texture of every ingredient, I transitioned from simple dehydrating to small-batch freeze-drying most foods.
Today, that same core value of deep care drives everything we do. We believe that shelf-stable food should never feel like a compromise. Every product we make is crafted with careful sourcing, thoughtful preparation, and a commitment to quality, offering lightweight, intentional nourishment that's just as perfect for Alaskan hunting, hiking, and camping as it is for busy everyday routines.
